During their mall jaunt, the mother announced on a Facebook page her daughter (in primary school) wanted a school bag which cost RM899 ($192.24 USD), as it was the same one her friends had. She then took out RM1,550 ($331.44 USD) from her school back to pay for it.

The perplexed mother exclaimed, "I provided her with just RM50 for her meals for the entire week, but now she has over RM1,000! How did this happen?"

Upon arriving home, the mother verified with her spouse that he had not given any money to their daughter.

The mother proceeded to discuss the source of the cash with her daughter, saying, "My daughter eagerly shared the entire tale of how she earned money at school."

The 8-year-old confessed to having taken part in gambling during her breaks. Playing the role of the house in dice games with her schoolmates.

The mother expressed concern about her daughter's involvement in gambling at such a young age and the fact that she was able to make so much money from it. She also worried that her daughter might be influenced by her classmates who come from high-income families and have large daily allowances.
